“His fur was so matted everywhere, especially on his eyes. It was hard to tell if he even had eyes. His nails were so overgrown they curled, he smelled horrible, and his teeth were rotting,” April Howard, the director of Dorchester Paws, shared with The Dodo.
Binky was rushed to the vet.
His tangled fur was carefully shaved away, freeing his eyes once more. The vets tended to his overgrown nails and rotten teeth, doing everything they could to ease his pain. Through it all, the sweet dog showed only kindness, winning over the hearts of the entire staff with his gentle nature.
As they completed his care, they scanned him for a microchip and were overjoyed when it revealed that Binky wasn’t alone—he had a family out there.
Without hesitation, they reached out to share the incredible news.
A Family’s Astonishing Discovery
Binky’s family was stunned when they received the call. Could it really be him? After three long years, they had almost stopped believing this day would come.
“The family was speechless when we told them we found Binky,” said Howard. “They kept asking if we were sure it was their boy. They never expected to see him again after so much time had passed.”
