Driver’s Heart Breaks at the Sight of a Small Pup Tied To A Tree On Desert Road

Abandoned Puppy Tied to a Tree Finds Love and a New Forever Home

Everything that our furry friends need to be truly happy is our boundless love. Seeing their tails wag with excitement and their big, loving eyes gazing up at us fills our hearts with overwhelming joy.

However, not every dog owner shares this deep bond with their pups.

It’s heartbreaking to realize that some people can mistreat or abandon these gentle and innocent creatures.

How could anyone betray these sweet souls who offer nothing but pure, unconditional love?

Ladybird was one of those innocent puppies who discovered how cruel humans can be. This little darling was heartlessly abandoned, left tied to a tree without a second thought.

Though she was cold and scared, Ladybird waited by that tree, her sorrowful puppy eyes fixed on the road. Her brave little heart held on to the hope that someone would notice her, offering her the kindness and love she so desperately needed.

A Heartbreaking Discovery

While driving down a road in Kentucky, a driver noticed a small brown and white pup sitting near a tree. Slowing down, they saw the tiny creature was tied up. With a heavy heart, they quickly contacted the Lewis County Animal Shelter.

As soon as they got the call, rescuers rushed to the scene. They carefully picked up the little pup and brought her to safety at the shelter.

“She was so brave, just sitting there by the tree, waiting for someone to notice her. We’re so thankful that the shelter found her and took her in. She was actually found not far from the shelter,” said Kim Desroches of Friends of Lewis County Animals in an interview with The Dodo.

When Ladybird, as she was later named, arrived at the shelter, she was frightened and unsure of her surroundings.

The staff quickly realized that the large public shelter was no place for this tiny, fragile pup. She needed a home where she could receive the love and care she so deserved.

Kim Desroches, working at Friends of Lewis County Animals, came across a picture of Ladybird on the shelter’s Facebook page.

Her heart broke seeing the tiny pup, who was just six to seven weeks old.

The shelter staff, along with Desroches, couldn’t believe that someone would tie up such a sweet puppy and leave her behind. Determined to help, Desroches set out to find a foster home for the little fur baby, knowing that the shelter wasn’t safe for such a young pup.

Ladybird’s New Beginning

It wasn’t long before Desroches found Ladybird a foster home, and the little pup was finally able to leave the shelter.

She moved in with her foster mom, who showered her with love and affection and made her feel safe for the first time.

With her fears chased away by love, Ladybird soon became a playful and happy little pup.

After some time in foster care, Ladybird was transferred to the Licking County Humane Society, a rescue organization in Ohio.

The rescue announced on their Facebook page that Ladybird was pending adoption on January 27th, 2024.

We’re all keeping our fingers crossed, hoping that Ladybird has finally found her forever home. This sweet little pup deserves nothing less than a life filled with love and happiness. Never again will she feel helpless or abandoned.
