Wile E. Coyote was found in a very rural area before he was brought to the Louisiana SPCA. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was a calm and laid-back pup. There wasn’t much that seemed to excite him — until he was given a pillow.
On a Tuesday afternoon, Wile E. Coyote received a simple pillow. But by that evening, after all the staff had left for the day, he discovered something truly delightful: the pillow was filled with feathers.
This dog has a serious love for feathers!
Feathers Everywhere
Wile E. Coyote wasted no time in getting to work. By the time the shelter staff arrived the next morning, they found an absolute disaster.
“The pillow was intact at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and destroyed by 7 a.m. the next day,” said Jessyca Sulfsted, marketing and communications manager at the Louisiana SPCA, in an interview with The Dodo. “Feathers were everywhere, and it took multiple efforts to clean it up.”
A Proud Pup
The staff, though shocked by the mess, couldn’t help but admire Wile E. Coyote’s handiwork. “10/10 will do it again!” they posted with a smile.
They also couldn’t believe that this calm dog was the one behind the chaos.
“That’s the first and only time we’ve seen him destroy something in the shelter,” Sulfsted explained. “He’s usually pretty chill in his kennel, but I guess the feathers won him over.”
Still Finding Feathers
Wile E. Coyote just couldn’t resist digging into those feathers. They were everywhere, from his kennel to beyond. The shelter staff is convinced they’ll still be finding feathers for a long time.
“Fun fact: we are still finding feathers in random corners of the room,” Sulfsted said.
Wile E. Coyote is a pretty laid-back dog overall — except when it comes to feathers. He’s looking for an active home where he can go on plenty of adventures and maybe even make some dog or kid friends along the way. He’d make the perfect family dog — just as long as it’s a feather-free household.
