A Life on the Edge
Rodney, a tiny puppy with a huge spirit, has had a rough start in life. When he first arrived at Wagging Tails Refuge, it was hard to imagine he’d make it through the night.
Barely clinging to life, he was fragile, scared, and weak. It’s been only 72 hours, but Rodney’s transformation has already been nothing short of miraculous.
With each hour, he inches further away from the edge as warmth, food, love, and medicine restore his little body and soul. Though he still tires easily, and his skin is tender, Rodney’s journey toward healing is well underway.
A Diet Fit for a Fighter
Now, Rodney is thriving on a special diet that’s even better than many of our own. Home-cooked meals of steak and mackerel fill his days, nourishing him with the strength he needs to recover.
It’s a joy to see him savor each bite, knowing how far he’s come in such a short time. At only three months old, Rodney has faced challenges that few pups his age have ever experienced.
But as long as he continues to fight, a beautiful life awaits him—a life filled with all the love, security, and comfort that he so richly deserves.
A Safe Haven and New Beginnings
For now, the only “plan” is to keep Rodney safe and let him rest. There are no grand plans or expectations—just the simple hope that he’ll continue to grow stronger each day.
As he settles into sleep tonight, snug and secure for possibly the first time in his life, we can rest, too, knowing that he is comfortable.
Rodney’s little miracle journey reminds us that, with love and care, even the most fragile lives can blossom into something wonderful. Here’s to many more nights of peace, health, and happiness for this resilient little soul.
