And when they met Kamper, it was as if the missing piece of their hearts had been found. He didn’t leave the shelter in pajamas that day.
He left in the arms of people who saw him not for his past, but for the joyful soul he had become.
Today, Kamper is almost unrecognizable. His once wrinkled skin is now covered in a thick black coat. His ribs, once visible from hunger, are hidden beneath a healthy round tummy.
But what hasn’t changed is his smile — a smile that melts hearts and brings joy to everyone around him.
The team at Stray Rescue still remembers the day they found him in the cemetery, lost and invisible.
