When Gabrielle first signed up to foster a puppy she saw at the shelter, she could never have imagined what would unfold.
She walked into the shelter excited, only to discover one surprising detail: the puppy wasn’t alone—she had two more siblings!
Realizing she couldn’t bear to separate them, Gabrielle immediately decided to bring all three puppies home and proudly embraced her new role as a puppy mom.
Three Adorable Puppies
Gabrielle created a cozy space for the puppies to settle into. They were battling a severe case of mange, so she was cautious before moving them to a proper bed.
She used a big tub and lined it with blankets, making it their safe space for the first few weeks.
They were so tiny, weighing only five pounds together. Gabrielle shared with The Dodo, “And they all blended into this little mushy mob in the corner of the bathtub.”
Once their quarantine ended, Gabrielle decided to introduce the puppies to the rest of the household.
With more room to roam and play, Gabrielle quickly noticed the distinct personalities of each puppy.
Poppy was the social butterfly, always eager to play. Lulu was more introverted, preferring a good mix of playtime and relaxation.
Tipper, as Gabrielle put it, liked to “go with the flow,” finding joy in many different things.
“They were just so captivating. They looked like little foxes, or – they just didn’t look like puppies!” Gabrielle said.
A New Life for the Puppies
By week five, Gabrielle noticed a significant improvement in the puppies’ health. They were thriving, which meant it was time to begin the adoption process.
She started reviewing applications because the puppies were ready to find their forever homes. But right from the start, Gabrielle knew Tipper was staying.
Their bond was undeniable, and Tipper loved being with Gabrielle.
Soon, Poppy and Lulu found their perfect families. Gabrielle was overjoyed knowing they were in loving homes, living their best lives.
“They are all living happily ever after, and they’re so deserving of that,” Gabrielle said.
Once all the puppies were settled, the three families decided to reunite the puppies for a special meetup so they could reconnect and play together.
It was heartwarming to watch them interact as if they’d never been apart.
Gabrielle couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come and the wonderful people who now care for them.
