Lonely Puppy Tied to Pole for Days, Hopeful Eyes Finally Get the Rescue They Deserve

On a cracked patch of cement in Santa Monica, California, a white dog named Buckley sat alone, tied to a pole.

For days, the gentle pup gazed up the street, hoping someone would notice him and take him to safety.

A Chance Encounter Leads to Rescue

One day, a local rescuer spotted Buckley’s big brown eyes. She was heartbroken to see the 6-month-old husky puppy alone, without food or water. She couldn’t leave him behind.

Without hesitation, Buckley was rescued and placed in the care of Love Leo Rescue.

When rescuers first met Buckley, they were moved by his warmth and resilience.

“Buckley is an exceptional dog,” said Sasha Abelson, director of Love Leo Rescue. “He is well-balanced, loving, and didn’t let his past experiences affect his wonderful personality.”

Buckley eventually moved into a foster home, where he began to thrive. He loves spending time outdoors with his new dog friends.

“Buckley is a typical, happy-go-lucky husky,” Leo said. “He enjoys playing with his dog friends, learning new skills, hiking, and snuggling with his humans. He’s the perfect family dog.”

Buckley Finds a New Life

Buckley is still waiting for his forever home, hoping his family will find him soon.

“Buckley would thrive in an active home, preferably with another playful, balanced dog,” Leo added. “A dog sibling would be a wonderful companion for him.”

With luck, Buckley’s wait will soon be over.
