Anubis knew exactly what that felt like.

Rosa Fond, the founder of HAAU, told The Dodo that some staff at the shelter were scared of him, and Anubis was not trusting anyone.
That was the reality they had to work with.
Still, they refused to reduce him to the worst assumptions others had made.

For Anubis, that choice changed everything.
Before he could settle into a foster home, he needed time to relax and begin rebuilding trust.
