Every time I think about the dogs who suffer at the hands of neglectful breeders, it breaks my heart.
Instead of being cherished, they’re used for profit and then cast aside when they’re no longer “useful.”
One such dog, a skinny and frightened soul later named Tina Turner, endured years of misery. When breeders were done with her, they dumped her like garbage on the side of the road.
Tina wandered aimlessly, searching for scraps of food in a desolate area—until something incredible happened.
Terrified Tina Tries To Escape Help

Prue, the founder of Mission Pawsible, spotted Tina and immediately knew she had to help.
But Tina was terrified. She was skin and bones, completely hairless, and deeply mistrusting.
Instead of approaching, Tina bolted—limping as she tried to escape.
Prue followed her, noting her injuries and signs that she’d recently had puppies.
Eventually, Tina darted into a hiding place tangled with branches. Prue crept closer, but Tina barked—telling her to stay back.
Then, just when it seemed the rescue might fail, Tina got caught in vines and couldn’t run anymore.

Prue saw her chance. She slipped a leash around Tina’s neck and gently led her out. Though the pup protested, once inside the car, she curled up and sighed—as if realizing she was finally safe.

At the vet, Tina was examined. Her limp was caused by nerve damage from years of overbreeding.
Jullie, the director of Mission Pawsible, offered to foster her.
That evening, Prue returned to the area to search for puppies—but sadly, found none.
From Heartbroken To Healing

Under Jullie’s loving care, Tina slowly began to change.
With gentle patience and affection, Tina started to trust. Her tail wagged again, and her eyes lit up.

Her fur grew back, soft and beautiful. Tina transformed into a fluffy princess—full of love and joy.
Her fear melted away. Her personality bloomed.
She became a cuddle bug who couldn’t get enough love from her new family.

Before long, Jullie realized Tina wasn’t going anywhere. She adopted her.
Now, Tina is part of a family that adores her—and she knows it.

“It’s so good that we can give her this fun, loving, cuddly life she so deserves. And she just absorbs it,” Jullie told The Dodo.
From hopeless and hairless to happy and healed, Tina’s story is a beautiful reminder of what love can do.
