This kind family quickly fell in love with the charming pup and decided to return to the shelter to fill out an adoption application.
They visited Stanford in his kennel, showering him with affection as they said their goodbyes, promising to bring him home soon. At that moment, his heart soared with joy.

Stanford Experiences Heartbreak Once More
As Stanford spotted the family nearing his kennel, he excitedly stood on his back legs, stretching his paws through the bars.

Due to their rental property’s no-pet policy, the kind-hearted family sadly had to let go of Stanford.

With tears welling in his eyes, the pup watched as the family walked away, feeling the ache of his heartbreak once again.
Hopeful and loyal, Stanford remained at the shelter, believing they would return for him.
A Rescue Is Needed for the Pup
Unfortunately, Stanford found himself on the euthanasia list, a heartbreaking fate for such a sweet dog.
In despair, he retreated to the corner of his kennel, lowering his head and turning his face to the wall. It was as if he had lost hope entirely.
But fate had a different plan in store for this brokenhearted pup.
The compassionate rescuers at Humans and Animals United, an animal rescue organization based in Florida, learned about Stanford’s plight and felt a deep sorrow for him.

After the rescue team dedicated their efforts and successfully found a foster home for Stanford, the volunteers hurried to the Rockdale Animal Shelter to bring the sweet dog to safety.
